Traverse the Abyss is an American Heavy Metal band from Scranton, PA that blends together Groove Metal with aspects of Thrash Metal & Metalcore/Deathcore to create a unique, powerful blend of modern Metal. Traverse the Abyss comes in swinging hard with catchy guitar riffs, crushing breakdowns & a wide variety of harsh vocals which accompanies the high energy, crowd engaging live performances they are known for. Since debuting in late 2016, Traverse the Abyss has performed all over the Mid Atlantic & North Eastern United States, received write ups on major press outlets such as Metal Injection, released several music videos & even shared the stage with national touring acts such as Motionless In White, Attila, Chelsea Grin, Whitechapel Lorna Shore In Flames Fit For An Autopsy Bleed From Within & many more! Traverse the Abyss released their debut album The Gamble of Life in 2016 followed by a self titled EP Traverse the Abyss in 2018, several singles including 2nd Place Superstar, Ghost, to their 2nd EP titled "Smiling in the Suffering" on June 17th, 2022. At the end of 2022, Traverse the Abyss won a time slot for the 2023 Inkcarceration Festival with Slipknot, Lamb of God, Flyleaf, Asking Alexandria, Wage War & many more! 2023 has a new EP on the horizon, cover songs and a North MidWest tour with Adema in August!
