Ruslanas Kirilkinas is a Lithuanian singer, songwriter, and television personality. He was born on October 17, 1983, in Telšiai, Lithuania. As a child, he participated in LTV children song contest Dainų Dainelė several times. In 2001 Ruslanas became a lead singer of Omega and gained popularity with the hit song Tu Mano Mergytė. In 2004 left the band and performed as a solo artist under the stage name Pavasaris for a while. In 2006 Kirilkinas moved to Finland where he reached the semi-finals of Finnish Idols and was awarded at the Idols Awards for the most impressive performance of 2007 with the song The Price Of Freedom. Ruslanas was also voted as the public's favorite in the semi-finals of the OurVision 2008 competition in Helsinki. In 2008, Ruslanas returned to Lithuania to participate in LNK TV music show Muzikos Akademija. Song Laisvės Kaina (Lithuanian version of The Price Of Freedom) reached the top of radio M-1 charts. In the show he also performed duets with Afric Simone, Hermes House Band and Umberto Tozzi. From 2009 to 2011 participated in TV music shows Star Duets, the national auditions for Eurovision, Golden Voices. Songs performed in these shows were compiled into albums Laisvės Kaina and Nebepaleisk.
