Originally a Solo project from Jerome, Arizona by multi instrumentalist Lucust French, Lazer Beam has released 2 albums channeling heavy psychedelica and electronic grooves, while staying true to the roots of rock and roll and punk rock. Their first album was a total desert rock showdown - recorded entirely by Lucust, staying dedicated to his love for underground acts such as Kyuss , Morphine , Masters Of Reality , and Queens of the Stone Age . Lazer Beam’s newest work, Lost In Oblivion is a collection of recordings from when Lucust was living in his van in 2022, highlighting his style of laying low and living under the radar, hiding in plain sight. The music sets the tone for a cold night alone, amidst the bums, drug addicts, and alcoholics. In 2023 Lucust moved to San Francisco, meeting drummer John Anderson, formerly of The Atom Age, and re-recruiting his bass slinging father Mitchell French, formerly Operator Generator - Polar Fleet, and Burn Thee Insects.
