A transplant based out of Seattle, WA Alex Lawrence, or known by his stage name Samurai Del, creates engaging and lush music that spans multiple genres. In his early years Samurai Del made sample based music reminiscent of the golden age of hip-hop. After seeing electronic music live for the first time at Sasquatch, Del was inspired to switch gears in 2015 and move away from sampling. 
 After making the decision to switch lanes stylistically Del began to form his sound in creating electronic music. First releasing a more synth focused EP with vocalist MistaDC entitled MistaSamurai in 2015, Del decided to follow it up with his first full length album. Hodgepodge was released in early 2017 and was a turning point for Del as an artist as a whole. Landing a placement on Fresh Finds, as well as press by thissongissick, Earmilk, Respect My Region, and more. He also began to land opening slots in Seattle for the likes of Tokimonsta, Big Gigantic, Keys N Krates, Big Wild, Louis Futon, and more. 
 Since then Del has continued to expand his musical palette by making music that spans multiple styles. From house, to funk, to pop, to trap, to left field electronic, to R&B, Del has proven himself to be as versatile as a producer can get. Since his debut album Del has done official remixes for GoldLink/Kaytranda, Big Gigantic, and Dave B. He’s released multiple LPs, singles and EPs that keeps listeners on their toes.
