LUCY WOODWARD was born in London and raised in NYC and The Netherlands. Her career began singing in NYC restaurants and coffee shops for tips at night while singing commercials and writing songs in the day. She signed her first record deal with Atlantic Records in 2003 but left the pop world as fast as she came in which led her to release 3 more studio solo albums: Lucy Woodward Is...Hot and Bothered (Barnes & Noble), Hooked! (Verve Records) and Til They Bang on the Door (GroundUP Music). Lucy recorded the 1.4+ million viewed song Too Hot to Last with Snarky Puppy which is featured on their Grammy-winning Family Dinner - Vol. 1 album and has toured with them internationally on and off since 2012. She filled in last minute touring live singing lead with Pink Martini singing in Croatian, Turkish and Japanese has sung background vocals with Rod Stewart, Céline Dion, Barbra Streisand, Joe Cocker and Chaka Khan. Lucy has contributed her vocals and songs to soundtracks including the Big Band Björk smash It's Oh So Quiet - Original Version from the Disney movie Ice Princess. Lucy and guitar virtuoso Charlie Hunter teamed up in 2019 touring extensively throughout the US and Europe. They released Music!Music!Music! (2019) and I’m a Stranger Here (2021), both albums full of blues and vintage pop songs refashioned with deep grooves. Lucy continues to tour Europe and will be soon be releasing her 5th solo album produced by Grammy-award winning David Garza (Fiona Apple).
