Jack and the Other is an indie electronic band comprised of brothers Cal Brown (vocals/guitar) and Jack Muta (production/keys). The duo’s music is purposefully eclectic, aiming to create in a format that’s unconfined by genre and allows any and all musical styles to influence their work. In 2019, JATO's debut EP Circles was released, followed up a few months later by a self-made claymation music video for their song “Passin Through" which brought tens of thousands of new listeners to the band overnight. A standalone single, “Lost In Space,” released in November of that year. They released their second album in 2020, a three-song EP called Aspera which showcased a stylistic shift for the band. In early 2021, Jack and the Other were selected to receive Artist Project Grant from the City of Atlanta. The grant helped fund their latest seven-track EP Sunglass, whose singles “I Need It," "Flare," "Push Push," and "Tell Me Straight" dropped one at a time every month beginning in June of 2022. The final three tracks from Sunglass were released October 7th, 2022. In May of 2023 JATO dropped their new single, “Take a Dip.” Currently, Jack and the Other is shooting music videos, writing new music and performing live in and around Atlanta.
