Songwriter and producer JB Stark makes vibrant pop tunes which are more than the sum of their parts. A DIY producer by necessity, JB Stark moved from his home town of Glasgow to London and threw himself into producing bands and artists on the local scene. He soon graduated to songwriting and started to release under his own name. JB Stark's work straddles the spectrum from super-commercial pop to indie and leftfield styles. With an ultra-modern edge and a nod to classic songwriting, his creations borrow widely from electronic, soul, disco and film music. JB Stark's debut single was released in 2020, and was quickly followed by collaborations with Ayoni, Kestra, Barrett Crake, Captain Backfire and Lux Lisbon. His music has been playlisted by Spotify (Indie Pop, Trending Hits, Nu-Funk, Best Funk Songs of 2021), entered the Spotify Viral 50 charts and received support from BBC Introducing, EARMILK, Alfitude, and many others. Recently, he co-wrote and produced the track Tattoo for K-pop idol AILEE, and Remedy for singer/songwriter Chris Linton.
