MR. LU* is a Kenyan producer, composer, deejay and artist who creates music that spans the sonic spectrum. Not one to be restricted by genre, this musical shapeshifter transcends the boundaries of bouncy hip-hop, cosmic trap and celestial R&B. Having worked with industry icons like Karun, Blinky Bill, and Taio Tripper his future as the leader of Nairobi’s alternative soundscape is undeniable. 
 MR. LU* released his first collaborative EP Kiinyume in 2018 with Chevy Kev which featured songs such as Cheza Ka Wewe and Peer Pressure. In 2020 he delivered Gweztapes with Lukorito famed as one of Nairobi’s best underground mixtapes. In the same year, he debuted XPRSO’s first album Nairobass with the songs Party, Woof Dog and Tingisha Kidole gracing local music charts. 2020 was a great year for MR. LU* as it was during this time that he also released Nairobi Lost Tapes, Vol. 1. The 11 track album, boasting Corporate, Top Mvulana and Hot Luv pays homage to Kenyan classics with a modern twist. 
 LU*’s zesty personality, coupled with his versatility as a producer, live performer, and visual artist make him the consummate artist. When he is not making music, you will find him directing and shooting videos, editing and designing.
