Nimrod was born three days-one year before me. He grew up in a little and warm home at Iztacalco, now one of my favorite parts of Mexico City. (In fact, im not sure he was born there, or if he spent his childhood in that house, but i cannot see any other place in the world where you can meet him). This is the part of the biography where people used to write some references: which songs, musicians, books, movies, or “art” masterpieces influenced him, “Where does the name “nimodo” came from?” “why he’s always talking about caguamas?” “Who (or what) is his biggest influence?” I know those are some popular questions you would like me to answer but in this particular case i won’t because Nimrod is a thief, and a proper and intelligent thief never reveals from where he stole, he don't want to get captured. He steals our smiles, our tears, our screams, our souls, our fire (when i say "our" it includes himself) he steals the places to the city, he steals the words from the world, he steals the common sense from conversations, he steals the oxxo's beer (his favorite is Sol Chelada, the green one) he steals the dust from the floor when he's skeating, he steals the midnight lights in the middle of metro station called Xola, he even steals himself: his own reflection in the mirror. He's looking (for) to everywhere at the same time. He takes everything from everyone anywhere, that’s what we called living the life. His music is just a one way to slide through it. -@pliplila
