MORANDI – from idea to an internationally successful project Morandi: Marius Moga and Andrei Ropcea. Both creative, authentic & fresh, they succeeded in being present in the music industry for over a decade. In 2004, Marius Moga was one of the most prolific songwriters from Romania. It was during that time Marius met Randi and decided to start together the project Morandi. Their debut single, Love me, was an instant hit both in Romania and outside our country. Their debut was an instant hit, with Love me making its way up to #1 in all music charts. Randi's unmistakable vocal range and Marius' talent brought Morandi on the highest peaks of the music industry, both Romanian & international. Their second single, Beijo, proved everyone that the boys weren't just a one-hit-wonder. Up to now, Morandi have released three albums: Reverse in 2005, Mind Fields in 2006 and N3XT in 2007. The fourth album, X, is to be released. Morandi was among the first Romanian projects to be successful abroad. Their music was listened in over 20 countries, they have performed in most of Eastern Europe and received numerous awards. They had 8 #1 singles (local and/or International airplay charts); Reverse, their debut album, was sold in over 2 million copies; 2 nominations at the MTV Europe Music Awards for Best Romanian Act (in 2005 and 2006) and the trophy in 2008; Angels was the most downloaded digital song of that time in Russia and Ukraine (more than 2 million downloads).
