Raised under the vast shadow of the hand of God, Often has spent many years clawing toward the light between those fingers. Equal parts journal entry and quiet panic, their independently produced songs are a sort of siren call. An anxious hope that we might find each other in some liminal space and finally, comfortably, share our sharpest secrets with rediscovered faith. Upon completing their 2021 release 
“Dirty Saint,” a first draft of the deconstruction of their religious childhood, Often was fortunate to make contact with more listeners through New Music Friday and Fresh Finds: Indie, along with premieres in AudioFemme, Wussy, and Flood Magazine. Now based in Los Angeles, Often uses their music to sift through lingering memories and halt the idea that any of us should ever feel alone.
