Jocelyn B. Smith releases her single "Dancin' in the Dark" from her upcoming EP "Songs of Substance". "Dancin' in the Dark" was composed in lockdown to spiritually uplift her audience from the overwhelming noise that keeps individuals from connecting to their personal power. It´s fresh, Pop and R&B with iconic 80's harmonies and fat bass lines. 2001-Jocelyn sang "Amazing Grace" for 200,000 at the Brandenburg Gate Berlin for the September 11 memorial. Also the German synchron title song of "The Lion King" . Born in New York 1960, classically trained and later performing with greats such as Till Brönner, Thomas Quasthoff, Heiner Goebbels, Mikis Theodorakis in over 3,000 concerts. And released over 20 CDs. She has initiated many social projects and is ambassador for charitable organizations. Lesotho/Africa giving diverse workshops in schools. 2018, was honored by German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier with the Federal Cross of Merit. 2020 awarded The Order of Merit by Mayor of Berlin Michael Müller. 2021 directed workshops for Berlin schools based on her concept "Songs of Substance" supported by the Bundeszentrale für political education. In cooperation with the organization BATUTA teaching young people online in ten regions of Colombia in 2022. January 2023, was awarded the Beethoven Prize for Human Rights,Poverty Reduction and Diversity
