with 500+ million streams, multiple times gold awarded artist sierra kidd is one of the most promising underground musicians. originally out of europe, he sings a lot about growing up with depression, PTSD and his upbringing in a low-income area in germany. while his music career may seem like a success story, his private life paints a different picture. his mom, a single mother, lost her first born when she was 17 years old, making kidd the oldest brother of his six little siblings. he soon became a father figure for them and tried everything to bring money into his financially unstable household. as soon as he was 15 years old he took a train to berlin and called his family from there. 
 "I told them I'm going to change our lives. I went there with nothing but I was convincing them I'd come back with money." he said in one of his interviews. 
 for the next 10 years he was focusing heavily on his music career, which made him a name in the european industry. after his song "Living Life, In The Night" took off globally, things started to look promising for him. unfortunately, one of his little brothers, 18yr old Jonah, committed suicide. instead of slowing down though, kidd became the work-a-holic people know him to be today. 
 "My music is therapeutic. When I'm in my studio, it's like the most lit therapy session. No matter if I cry on a record or I'm just having fun, you can always hear the pain and sadness. And even though it hurts, it's beautiful at the same time."
