Their pop-rock music is gin and tonic for the listeners ears, their band name inspired by the Whale City Bakery right at Highway 1 in California. During his time in the States singer, guitarist and songwriter Andi, loved to hang out at this unique place with a beautiful view over the ocean and sometimes under a blue sky he even saw whales swimming by . WHALE CITY is a place full of positive energy and inspiration. A place of freedom and emotional connections. The german band carries the mood of departure, joy and desire with a modern, international sound somewhere between OneRepublic, Coldplay and Imagine Dragons into the world. WHALE CITY is a way of life that Andi and keyboarder/bassist Michael share and what they have been transforming into their favorite sound ever since.
