Mastiksoul began his career as a DJ and producer in 1992, becoming one of the most respected artists in the music industry at a global level. Recognised by his very characteristic style, he has produced several hits and worldwide Top 10s, having already been nominated as Best House Producer for the renowned Beatport awards. Earlier in his career, Mastiksoul founded his own record label, 4Kenzo Recordings. Awards and nominations began to emerge, including Best House Producer of 2008 by the Beatport Music Awards, as well as reaching Nº1 Top Tech House on Beatport for Bofe De Elite (2009). Mastiksoul’s albums have counted on the participation of Akon, Buraka Som Sistema, Rita Guerra and David Anthony and Dada - Deepest Blue, among others, several reaching Nº1 on Portugal’s iTunes Store. In 2016, Mastiksoul presented his first big project with Shaggy and Danny Shaw, "Good for You", followed by "On Purpose (feat. GC) - Single" and "Dança Do Bumbum" with Dutch group Afro Bros. But Mastiksoul’s greatest hit yet was "Gasosa” (2016), which took him on tour around the country selling out all his shows. This major success was the first single dropped via his new record label, Playlist, followed by yet another unique single with the biggest Portuguese fado singer, Mariza. "Livre" (2017), a unique fusion of fado and trap produced by Mastiksoul, came in 5th place in the OGAE Song Contest 2017 awards and created a real hype on YouTube, hitting Top 10 viral videos in Portugal.
