From Mexico, Colombia, Chile & Brazil to Italy, Turkey, UK, Japan, Spain, & the US, RBD set records such as being the first Spanish-speaking act to headline and sell out Maracaná Stadium in Brazil & being the most successful Latin American band with 10+ million albums and 10+ million tickets sold globally. RBD emerged in 2004, after the success of Mexican soap opera “Rebelde,” with Anahí, Chistian Chávez, Dulce María, Maite Perroni, Christopher Von Uckermann and Alfonso Herrera as members. Their debut album Rebelde earned Diamond Record in Mexico. Their sophomore, Nuestro Amor, earned a Platinum Record just 7 hours after release. RBD performed in front of 65K people at the Coliseum in L.A., sold-out in 30 minutes & the 2nd highest-income show in venue’s history (after The Rolling Stones). The band sold out every US-tour show, from Madison Square Garden to the American Airlines Arena. Their 3rd album, Celestial, earned Gold Records in Romania, Spain, Chile and Ecuador & Platinum+Gold Record in Mexico. It was #1 on Billboard Latin Pop Albums. In Brazil, it reached #1. Then came their English album 'Rebels', with Gold Records in Mexico, Spain, and Japan. Empezar Desde Cero, their fifth album, was 4xPlatinum+Gold Records in Mexico, 2xPlatinum in Venezuela, Platinum in Colombia, & Gold Records in Brazil, Argentina and Spain. The sixth album, Para Olvidarte De Mí, ranked #3 on the Top 100 Albums in Mexico and #3 on the Billboard Latin Pop albums for six consecutive weeks.
