    Luis Trigacheiro was born in Beja and has a powerful voice. The city is a part of who he is, and it is precisely this that distinguishes him. His voice is thick with accent, and he is regarded as the new Alentejo ambassador. He began singing in Alentejo choir groups at 16, where Cante (UNESCO’s Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity) is the main genre, but he also explores other influences. Rui Veloso, António Zambujo, Caetano Veloso, Chico Buarque, Elis Regina, António Variações, Pedro Abrunhosa, Sara Correia, Marco Rodrigues, and Miguel Araújo, to name a few. He was the winner of The Voice Portugal 2020. After signing with Universal Music Portugal, Luís Trigacheiro released his first single, "Meu Nome É Saudade," released in April 2021 was very well received. By September, “Peixe Fora d’Água” showcases a new side. 2022 brings forth “Quem Me Vê”, a beautiful song about belonging. “Fado do meu Cante”, his debut album, out in May 2022 brings forth Luís Trigacheiro’s essence, in his own words: “without any disguise, camouflage, or masks." “Mulher Contigo é Para Casar”, a beautiful song written by Marisa Liz and composed by António Zambujo is his opener for 2023.
