Now emerging in the West, Kazakh singer-songwriter Dimash Qudaibergen is a superstar in the East: a genre-defying musical artist and an electrifying stage performer known for his intense emotional impact on his audience. He has sold out arenas from New York to London to Moscow to Shenzhen, including a recent concert in Almaty attended by nearly 30,000 people from 68 nations. Dimash is widely viewed as one of the world’s greatest vocalists, unrivaled in both range and technique. Born into a family of professional musicians and a culture steeped in music, he began his formal training at the age of five and now has a Bachelor’s degree in vocal performance, a Master’s in composition, and a PhD in musicology in progress. He plays several musical instruments and has performed in 13 languages, and has won some of the top awards available to musical artists in countries including the UAE, Kazakhstan, Japan, Russia, and China.
