Biyografi
It doesn’t matter the room. Give the members of Jakubi instruments, and they’ll lock into the kind of groove you bounce, bob, and shake to all day (and night). Their distinct brew of pop, R&B, hip-hop, rock, and soul hinges on that groove as does the new single from their forthcoming full length-debut. Since forming, the Melbourne, Australia quintet—brothers Jerome [vocals, keys, talkbox] & Jacob Farah [bass, moog], cousins Jesse Rehaut [drums, guitar] & Adam Kane [guitar, keys], and longtime friend Rob Amoruso [guitar, keys, drums]—quietly grinded to emerge as one of Australia’s most innovative, inventive, and irresistible musical exports. The breakout 2015 single “Couch Potato” eclipsed 5.5 million Spotify streams, while their 2016 major label debut EP 61 Barkly yielded “Nobody Better.” They shared the stage with everyone from Fishbone to The Suffers and ignited festivals such as Electric Forest and Wakarusa in addition to the Australian Open and various events for Super Bowl LII in Minneapolis.
