The Jimmy & Scots Folk Band was born in 2013 from the passion of two friends travelling to Dublin during St Patrick's week. Starting as a duo, over the years it becomes a four-piece band that performs around Italy and Europe. “No Man's Tales”, the first album of traditional songs, is released on 31 October 2019. After signing with the 'Maxy Sound' label, the second album “Seven Irish Nights” is released on 24 February 2023, also containing the band's first original song (“A Stout For Breakfast”). In May 2023 the same album is included in the “Irish Traditional Music Archive”, the most relevant archive of Irish music in the world, based in Dublin. This project aims to evoke traditional music through original arrangements of secular and unpublished songs for a journey in time through different Celtic cultures and from around the world: the stage is turned into a cosy pub or a sailing ship where the audience can actively interact between a ballad and a reel.
