"If you want it done, do it yourself" sums up the the ethos of Australian power trio Ragdoll, who have taken their singular brand of hard rock from Perth, the world's most isolated capital city, to some of the biggest stages in the world. Led by the powerhouse vocals of Ryan Rafferty and backed by Leon Todd on guitar and Cam Barrett on drums, Ragdoll burst onto the international scene with their 2012 release Here Today and and an appearance at the renowned Rocklahoma festival in the USA, which quickly drew comparisons to classic power trios King's X, Rush and Trapeze. 2013's "All I Want Is Everything" and 2014's "Ragdoll Rewound", in addition to a gruelling touring schedule through the USA and Australia, saw Ragdoll refine their sound in a modern rock direction. Support slots with Seether, Skid Row and Uriah Heep expanded their audience and saw them expand their appeal beyond the traditional melodic hard rock market, all as a self funded an self managed act. 2016's full length "Back to Zero" was simultaneously heavier and more melodic, drawing positive reviews at home and from the USA and EU. "Back to Zero" drew comparisons to Whitesnake, Alice in Chains and Shinedown. "Back to Zero" saw the band undertake their most extensive tour to date, spanning the USA, Switzerland, France, Belgium, Germany, Denmark and Australia. 2019 saw the release of hard hitting single "Rust" while 2020 saw Ragdoll unleash the groove laden "Follow the Leader" accompanied by a national tour.
