Amalie Holt Kleive combines jazz and electronics, and turns it into danceable and touching music. "A combination of folk and electronic music makes for magical moments that lean towards greats like Björk and Thom Yorke" (TIDAL Norway). 2018 saw her debut at Vill Vill Vest, and her EP 'Slippe', followed soon after, to critical acclaim. "One of the most promising musicians around" Bergens Tidende wrote. Since then, she's played a number of gigs, including performances at Landmark, Nattjazz, and Parkteateret, and she's written commissioned work for Bergen Litteraturfestival and EKKO. In February 2022 she released her debut album «De løper der jeg går» (translates to «They run where I walk» - a strong and elegant album produced by herself, Vetle Junker (Metteson, Verdensrommet) and Peder Kolsung (Sigrid). Her album got great reviews and attention by some of the biggest papers, websites and magazines in Norway. «If this is the future of Norwegian pop music, the future is bright» - Morgenbladet May 5th she will release a brand new single called «Karen A», a tribute to her grand mother and the elder generation. She is currently working on new releases, and will do a live show at Nattjazz in Bergen 1th of June.
