Not content with dominating the Austrian Club circuit, 2001 was also the year DisasZt dabbled with his first foray into production, and his track ‘Get It On’, under the alias, The Unexpected, was subsequently released on ‘Inside Out’ an Austrian drum and bass compilation. As the quality of DisasZt’s output continued to develop so did the notoriety of the labels that picked up his tracks, and to date, he has released tracks on labels such as Andy C’s Ram Records, Shimon’s Audio Porn Futurebound’s Viper Recordings and Bryan Gee’s V Recordings to name but a handful. Passing years and numerous collaborations with the scenes biggest names have shown the versatility in DisasZt’s productions, from the funky flings of ‘Rumours’ a collaboration with Shimon and Coppa, to the tear out realms of ‘Ribcage’ released on the mighty Technique Recordings, all the way to the crossover dance floor flavours of 'Don’t Know Us’ feating Marianna Ray. Tunes like these, alongside his flawless mixing skills and hi-energy performances, have yielded him prestigious gigs all over the globe, from South America to Japan, and on large scale events like “Sun and Bass” or “Let it Roll”. It’s clear that DisasZt’s commitment to not only Austria’s but the global drum and bass scene is significant, from promotions to productions and most importantly building and nurturing a strong community, developing his local scene and pushing drum and bass forward as the global, inclusive movement it is.
