Solo artist Josiah James has been producing original music independently since 2004. After picking up his brother’s acoustic guitar and learning a few simple chords, Josiah went on to do what any young artist in 2004 would do, make a MySpace and start performing wherever and whenever he could. In 2007, Josiah partnered with Grammy nominated and Dove Award winner Colby Wedgeworth to record his debut album “The Morning Light”. This freshman release was well received by fans and propelled James into a full time touring music career. Fast forward to 2013, after 1500+ concerts both stateside and abroad and with 6 albums/ep’s under his belt, Josiah decided to slow down from touring to focus on being home with his family. During this period, Josiah wrote the songs “Made New” and “Sinking Ships” for Christian recording artist, Lincoln Brewster for Lincoln’s record “Oxygen”. “Made New” has since became one of Lincoln’s biggest hits and gained Josiah his first ASCAP songwriting award. Josiah’s songwriting talent was also discovered by Grammy award winning band @AudioAdrenaline, which led the band to cover James’ song “Love Was Stronger”, their first radio single for their record “Sound of the Saints”. In 2018, with a new spark of passion and creativity, Josiah released 2 new singles, “Feel” and “All That I’ve Become”, injecting honest lyrics accompanied by hook-friendly melodies and dream pop musical energy.
