Climatic aka Volker Dorsch, musician & producer, was born in Germany in 1971. While coming from a jazz background, he became truly fascinated with all aspects of electronic music. So around 2000 he began to create his own tracks and remixes. Inspired by acts like Kruder&Dorfmeister, Aphex Twin, The Orb, he really developed an individual style, which could be best described as somewhere between ambient/downbeat and deep-house. There are two main themes in Climatic's work. One has to do with the mediterranean-type chill sound, which is always, in his case, organic, natural sounding, and often inspired by landscapes and places. The other one is urbanity. Climatic is a city-walker, a fan of street-art and architecture. That's how he gets away from the music, but he also drives something out of it. That feeling you can only get from the city, as it reflects in the music as well. Climatic's first album "Around And About" appeared in 2005 on 4MPO, the label founded by his old friend Naoki Kenji. Kenji and Climatic also have released some common tracks, as on Kenji's albums "Ecoustic", "JP-Juice/Fukai Remixed" or "Akatombo". Climatic's fifth album "Exhale" will be released on April 29th 2022.
