Http//:www.RachelZ.com Mike Mainieri of Steps Ahead hired Rachel Z right out of college for the CD “NYC” tour. She toured with the group for 5 years, gaining mad skills. 
 She recorded her first CD Trust the Universe for Columbia records-signed by Dr George Butler, which Mike Mainieri produced. This CD featured all her original compositions influenced by Wayne Shorter and Herbie Hancock-sidemen included the legends Al Foster, Lenny White, Jeff Andrews, and Victor Bailey. 
 Rachel Z worked closely with Wayne Shorter 2develop his Grammy winning “Highlife” recording over 40 tracks of keyboard parts (Cynthia-synth orchestra) and played piano as well.She also served as MD for several world tours with Wayne Shorter. 
 She was featured on Peter Gabriel’s Growing Up live Tour DVD and all live recordings as well as a studio CD Hit’s and Misses. Peter’s DVD has legendary production and is a masterpiece of visual beauty! 
 Rachel Z was an in-demand sideman until 2004 (Al DiMeola, Stanley Clarke,). After touring with Peter Gabriel “she quit her day job” to focus on her bands Rachel Z Trio, Rachel Z band, as well as The Trio of OZ and Ozmosys which are co-led with Omar Hakim, legendary drummer of Weather Report, Sting, David Bowie, Daft Punk. She did an exciting tour with mythical Guitarist Neal Schon and Omar Hakim opening for Journey. 
 She has 11 recorded as a leader and has recorded for Columbia, Grp/Verve, Savoy Jazz, Tone Center, Venus, Pony Canyon, Ozmosis Records with Omar Hakim.
