Levent Gunes was born in Istanbul, 1981. His musical journey began when he was 12 years old by playing Baglama (conserved as a sacred instrument, lute) which he inherited from his family. Gunes expanded his music in wide range of musical disciplines, he is a composer, a performer, musical content creator and a music producer for films, TV serious. Although his main instrument is Baglama, he finds it fascinating to learn new instruments in which he uses to create music by crossing cultural borders. In his musical expedition, Gunes’s work is phenemonal, evocative and continuously experiments on new ideas to adapt to his musical discipline. Gunes often incorporates various music styles with one another to create sounds that inspire and influence the younger generation and others in the music industry in Turkey and London. Gunes, who is in continuous search to discover new ideas, founded ‘Karaca Music’ in London in 2021, to publish and archive unique and authentic live performances from different music.
