Los Cotopla Boyz, a band formed in Bogotá Colombia that under their own self-name style ‘’cumbia millenial’ began playing in one of Bogota’s iconic place Matik-Matik in which they made the walls rumble with cumbia and make attendants dance and sweat out their shyness away. Playing several of their original cumbias and covers from their influences like ‘’Los Corraleros Del Majagual’, decided to record their first album. ’Mamarron Vol.1. is an album that takes us to Perú , that makes us request for other’s people’s whatsapp number, that remind us of that last conversation where they left us on seen , and that makes us want to take a train with blustering cumbia sounds where we can have a ‘’ganlleta’’(happy cookie) and scrape party so we can exorcise all the demons of this 2020.
