Melodic metal playing Embraze was founded in Kiiminki nearby Oulu, Finland in 1994. For the first years of its existence it functioned under the name Embrace but prior to the release of its debut album Laeh the name transformed into Embraze. Already before their first release, the band toured actively and received attention from their hard, live performance leading it for instance in 2nd place in the Finnish Rock Championships in 1997. Since 1998 the band released five albums. The last album, named rather predictively as The Last Embrace, saw the daylight in August 2006 and gave the first statistical marking in the official Finnish charts hitting the place of 29th. Embraze ended its career in their home town Oulu performing for the last time in May Day eve 2009. But now, however, in 2019 this veteran of melodic metal has decided to return back on platforms. This is how the band commented their return: “When our paths separated in spring 2009 we knew, at least we assumed to know, that this is it. But how wrong we were! The connection between us never disappeared and when in spring 2018 we met ALREADY the second time since our last performance, it was clear for all of us that we wanted to play together as a band known as EMBRAZE”.
