Chokamkuru Langneh is a singer/songwriter based in Shillong, Meghalaya, NE IND. Originally from, Diphu, Karbi Anglong, Langneh draws inspiration from artists like Ed Sheeran, Coldplay, Maroon 5, Motohiro Hata, Owl City, RADWIMPS, Taylor Swift, Niall Horan etc. usually describing his genres to be indie-pop, indie-rock, pop-rock, folk-pop and alternative rock. Chokamkuru Langneh debuted with his single Rong-Aje in 2019 which made him a household name in the Karbi Music scene in Karbi Anglong. 2020 saw Langneh experimenting more with his music with yet another single Good Old Days (Deluxe), which landed on Spotify's own Rock in India playlist and hence putting him on the map in the Northeast Indian and the Indian indie scene. With his album Life in Frames (2021) he cemented his spot in the NE indie scene and the lead single from the album, "You Wouldn't Know" was labelled a “radio success” all over the country getting featured on stations like Radio City 91.1, 93.5 RedFM & 98.7 BigFM and was nominated for "Song of The Year" at the Toto Music Awards 2021 (India) & for “Best Pop Song” at MG Music Awards, Nagaland. Life in Frames earned praise from magazines like KarbiAnglong Today and A Humming Heart with the latter eventually rating the album 3.5/5 in a review. At 19, Chokamkuru Langneh continues to be the youngest artist from Karbi Anglong and (one of) the youngest artist(s) from the Northeast to make a name for himself in the Indian and the NE Indian Indie Music scene.
