Formed in 2012, Tjuv craft their cinematic synthesis of 70s singer /song writer, 90s indie/Lofi rock and 80s electro from their home base in Österlen, Sweden. Old friends meeting up again by chance when they started working together in Ystad , songwriters Martin Svensson and Peter Anthonsson soon met up with tin-smith drummer Anders Persson. keyboardist and Singer Anders Thoren from Wildie was next and then Craftsman Martin Tell joined on bass and the band began to forge their highly cinematic sound. Utilizing a fair amount of vocal harmonies and drifting, dreamlike melodies deriving as much from americana as from their swedish roots. Tjuv is now reforming. Dag Strömquist Joined the band on drums in 2019 .
