Composed of Jovy on the lead guitar and vocals, Glenn on bass guitar, Nilo on rhythmic guitar, and Ches on the drums, Southrace is a concoction of four talented men serendipitously crossing paths to unite in one unique sonata. Ordinary men with big dreams – Jovy, Glenn, Nilo and Ches never fail to surprise an audience as they transform into extraordinary performers in every blow-your-heads-off onstage spectacle. Southrace beats to distinct and diversified experimental compositions ranging from classical to upbeat melodies. Such multiplicity in skills and output is thanks to the members’ diverse influences such as the immortal resonance of The Beatles, the more modern Green Day and Dream Theatre, and even the prided local static of Smooth Friction. The band has been known for its electrifying strings, forceful back beats, and trademark power-jumps on breakings.
