Although the Czech Republic's Bratri Ebenové made a name for themselves as a '90s musical act, they formed in the late '70s. The band, made up of singer, composer, and songwriter (not to mention actor and eventual television host) Marek Eben and his brothers Krystof and David, released its first album -- a self-titled affair -- in 1982. Over the next (near) decade, the trio released a handful of albums, but it wasn't until 1995's Ticha Domacnost that Bratri tasted big-time success. In 2002, the group began playing live more frequently, and in 2004 released a live DVD. In 2008, the band was still going strong, releasing the albumChlebicky on BMG. Around that time, it was also possible to catch Marek on television, as host of his nation's particular version of the reality talent show Dancing with the Stars. ~ Chris True, Rovi
