Driven by popping handclaps, an unshakable bass line, hypnotic horns, and wild vocal delivery, the first single “Testify” quickly cracked a million streams in under a few weeks’ time. Meanwhile, it is prominently featured in a Wild Turkey commercial directed by and starring Academy® Award-winner Matthew McConaughey and co-starring DAVIE. Black Gospel, Vol. 1 went on to gain 7 million streams with break out songs like “Roll with me “ and “Walk that Walk” In 2018. In 2017, he released a show-stopping cover of Stevie Wonder’s “Someday At Christmas” for Amazon’s exclusive Soul Christmas holiday playlist. In 2018 he hit the road opening for artist like Lizzo, Selena Gomez ,playing Bonnoroo, ACL, and Lollapalooza. in 2019 he released a mixtape titled “Girls Raised In the South” which cracked the top 5 albums on the R&B charts on iTunes and remained there for 5 weeks. “Flavor” became the standout track on that project, gaining attention for its tv/film success . In 2020 dance label “Defected Records” re-released the single “Testify” Along with an EP oF remixes.
