Tamayo Band’s mission is clear: Create the music they want to hear. Inspired by artists from multiple genres, Tamayo Band lives in a world between Rock, Reggae, and Psychedelic Jam. The band formed in 2018 in Gainesville, Florida and began to perform and record regularly around the state soon after that. Their first two releases "To Live" and "I love it When You Think of Me" lead to the band winning the 2020 Destination Okeechobee Battle of the Bands that secured them a spot at the 2020 Okeechobee Music Festival. This performance, alongside appearances at the Spirt of the Suwannee Music Park, lead to the formation of a close knit but loyal fan base known as the "Sol System". With the release of their next three tracks, Tamayo Band solidified their reputation as a formidable psychedelic jam band that found equal inspiration from artist like Santana, Pink Floyd, and Miles Davis.
