Neil Levin is a surfer, singer/songwriter, guitarist and music producer. In 2018, he founded the psychedelic jam band, counterconformity, while also developing his artistry as a full time music major in college. During the heat of the 2020 pandemic, Neil released his solo album I Want Blue Roses on My Grave, which featured for the first time, a sound he calls Cosmic Blues. The sound meshes the blues with a psychedelic infused modern sound. He also performs as a western duo with his dad Alan Levin, called Father Son Levin. The two released their double sided single Big Blue River / Colorado in 2021. Neil works collaboratively with his good friend NoirVin as the duo Noir Le'vin, which combines The Blues and EDM into a what the duo calls Blues-Step. They’ve released 2 albums so far, Noir Le'vin (2021) and Noir Le'vin II: Catharsis (2022). In early 2022, he and a few of his friends created the indie rock band, Violet Iris, where Neil serves as lead guitarist and occasional vocalist. The Spring of 2022 saw the release of his most recent solo album, Sultry Have Gone the Roses, a continuation of his Cosmic Blues sound, and a bookend to the Blue Roses saga he started back in 2020. Neil received his Bachelors in Interdisciplinary Music Studies from Berklee College of Music in the Summer of 2022 as well. Neil is also a published model and sponsored surfer. Fall 2023 will see the release of his highly anticipated solo album, titled after his self-pioneered genre, Cosmic Blues.
