Biyografi
Navarathna Gamage is a Sri Lankan composer and director of music for cinema, television, radio, concerts, and songs. Having composed score for over 30 films, 140 teledramas, and 40 theatre productions, his song catalogue include more than 5000 songs collaborating with pioneers and newcomers in the Sri Lankan music industry. Navarathna Gamage released his first solo CD albums "Sanda Eliyen Dothak" in 2004. “Dhamma”, a collection of spiritual music, was released under the music label Fontana Music Library of Czech Republic and published by Warner Chappell. In 2014, he presented “Panamura Kunchanada”, a theatrical musical symphony audio CD album. He also released the digital albums “Navarathna Gamage: Classic Collection Vol.01”, “AhasataTharu Ai Metharam: Official Teledrama Soundtrack Collection 01 & 02”, and Thalaya Soyana Geethaya in 2021. Navarathna Gamage has received the “Bunka Award” in 2003 from Japan for special achievements as a music composer. He has won Sarasavi, Signis, Presidential, Sumathi, Raigam, State Television awards multiple times. In 2017, he was awarded “Kala Suri” Sri Lanka Honours by the Sri Lankan Government for special contribution to the development of Sri Lankan culture, arts, cinema, drama, music, etc. As a prominent music composer in the Sri Lankan music industry, he has guided younglings and music enthusiasts by taking teaching and instructing assignments at various institutes, workshop programs, events.
