    iRis.EXE is ________. An AI-assisted music project, iRis.EXE uses sound as a medium of exploration. She juxtaposes soaring, often operatic, vocals with disjunct and destroyed instrumental accompaniment — some instruments manipulated beyond recognition. Her well of influences range from international literary greats and video games, to cold war machines and historic satellite technology. iRis's debut EP "SMiLE" explored linear hope - of life and death and expectation. While "SMiLE" captivated its audience through energetic drum and bass, anthemic choruses, and painful, deceptive cadences, iRis twists the knife (and again, expectation) with the announcement of her three-song EP "mercykiller." When asked what listeners could expect for "mercykiller," iRis couldn't identify one genre in particular. "Early 2000s industrial and dance concepts intersect with 2010s metalcore influences, maybe."
