South East London native Romzy is one of the brightest lights of the new UK Rap generation. Romzy spent most of his life in Woolwich where his talent was quickly recognised by friends and family. Moving to his father’s homeland of Jamaica at a young age marked his introduction into the world of music. After only a couple of years honing his craft, Romzy’s big break came at the age of 16 through his breakout single ‘Bottles Get Popped’, the release of this single triggered another significant marker in Romzy’s early career with DJ, presenter and ‘voice of the streets’ Kenny Allstar recognizing his talent. With immense support from industry veterans such as Giggs and Tinie Tempah, his previous single ‘Talk On Me’ proved the young rapper was maintaining his title, and letting non-believers know that he will make music and get far regardless of criticism. Not being defined by one particular genre, Romzy is more than your standard rap artist, and that’s displayed in his latest release ‘Tracky & Sliders’. With infectious melodies and lyricism, he breaks the boundaries of a standard Hip Hop, Dancehall, Drill, Trap, or Grime classification, embarking on every genre with ease, making him a force to be reckoned with in this new wave of homegrown London talent. Romzy is on his way to the top with support from key Radio personalities such as BBC 1Xtra’s DJ Target, Twin B, Dotty & Sian Anderson, as well as Charlie Sloth and Capital XTRA’s Robert Bruce and Jay London
