Well that's great Do you ever feel the universe is cold and lonely? And nobody cares if you live or if you die And what's the point of even trying When you're only destined for disappointment Well I was once like you It's true I was once like you This is the part where I screwed up my TED Talk My slides wеre out of order So I panicked, droppеd my notes And then I heard some people laugh And had a full-blown panic attack Ran off the stage Cried for forty minutes, too scared to leave my dressing room In case somebody saw me and said "Hey, aren't you that crazy lady?" See I was just like you, Lydia I was just like you Then somebody knocked on the door So I yelled, "Go away!" But I guess they ignored me 'Cause this person came in anyway And this guy, he seemed so calm Although we had never met, he held me in his arms Eventually, he said, "I was once like you I know all about sad Yes, I was once like you" That person was your dad
