I'm gonna ask you a question before you launch into your first song
Um, you guys have been described as creating, like, a hellacious amount of noise for just three people
Did you grow up and say, "Hey, I wanna be a trio", or did this just happen organically and you decided you didn't wanna bring
It's like a couple who decides not to have kids, and, and, y'know, 'cause you'll mess them up, you wanna keep things amongst the three of you?
I think we were a four piece, um, originally in Manchester, and I think I just decided I never wanna be in a four piece again
Y'know, I think that was, it was, it was more
But those were bad times (they were bad times), we've, uh, chosen to forget about those
No, I think, um, you just do what's natural, I think, you, you always strive to get that dynamic where you, y'know, you completely understand each other, could be three, four, five
For me personally, it doesn't really matter, but, um, there's something, uh, some really good chemistry here between us so
It would feel strange to add something to that, I mean, which is quite a challenge, actually, because, we record, uh, with a lot of layers, y'know, and it's actually quite hard sometimes to replicate that live
But, then, that's a good challenge, y'know, and, um, we're not always that bothered about replicating the record fully
I, I see the recordings and the live thing as, can, they can live side-by-side, and as long as the heart and intent is there, they can, they can, they can be different, y'know
But it's, it's a funny challenge, whenever we write, to then bring, especially to Matt, 'cause, like, we write multiple drum parts, to see him like, be, an octopus trying to replicate it all, and, y'know
Yeah, but that's the good bit, isn't it? That's the fun part, is seeing you trying, trying to cope with it all
But he manages, he manages
Consummate professional, is what it is
