Within our minds no answers can we find
We seem to have no inner compass, no real direction
Upon reflection we realize throughout our lives
We can compromise (compromise)
And fail to recognize the very essence of living

Giving of ourselves to help somebody else (somebody else)
Somewhere along the line we thought it fine to just exist
Not resisting the temptation to unrepentantly leap and miss (?)
Failing to follow our dreams absolutely and completely
(Instead) Instead simply making do with a living
Beneath our success threshold repeatedly
(Although we know)
Although we know the spirit of excellence lives within us
(Lives within us), we continue to rush (rush)
Neglecting His value and presence within us
Saying with our mouth we want more of Him
Whilst with our time we indicate that we abhor Him
(Abhor Him), and not adore Him (yeah)
It's no wonder that we achieve (achieve)
But only to a point that we succeed
But only to a certain degree (ooh)
When our source
Our Creator is in the center of our thoughts
The very one that brought us into the world
The very one that parted the Red Sea
And sent His son to die for you and me
How ungrateful to Him we must seem
But still, in His love and mercy He stoops low
And redeems us again and again
And enables us to attain
Because more than anything else He wants us to succeed
And be for Him all that we can be (all that we can be)
When things seema blurred in our minds
When you think why this could be you'll find
That you have shifted Him from the throne of your heart
And that's when you need to restart
For all good gifts come down from the Father of light
With whom there is no variation, or shadow, or turning
Allow Him to lead you
And let Him be food for all your yearnings (yearnings, yeah)
You will receive your harvest at the correct time
Just be sure that Elohim is at the front of your priority line
All things will occur in God's time
