There were ragdoll-pinces, junkyard-queens
Blessed by the homeless on dirty streets
First they drag you down, then they fall at your feet

Down the road you rambled and you roamed
And you carried your home
On the souls of your shoes you were looking for truth
And a love that could put some meat on your bones
But you lost yourself inside those sounds,
In the dimestore riches and the carnival crowds
