For as long as I remember During stormy nights I've pictured myself on a raft In pitch blackness in the middle of the ocean Sky-high waves and thunder Winds that can be felt to the bone I battle for survival against the forces of nature As the waves swallow me whole I succumb... I give in I can't see anything, but I drink, oh how I drink My thirst is insatiable, and my body can take no more Yet I drink till I can hold no more What has been a lifelong dream, shall be a dream no more As I wander into the sea The waves are no match for my many fantasies The cold water soothes me The waves embrace and cradle me To feel such warmth and comfort after so many years of torment I want more! I drink and I'm cradled For once I'm loved I drink and I drink with a maddening lust As I'm slowly swallowed by the dark depths
