An ancient calling leads my heart Towards depths long forgotten Leaving life behind With truth revealed in bark of weathered oak Archaic roots are emboldened And longing for silence Yearning for new life! Seven doors I have opened now And through the last an old sword I remember Dull, yet intact as if 'twas Not made for war But at that time I had no use For a worthless antique And though of it no more Yet I could not help feeling completely lost Wayward Demoralized by a concrete prison Barren by lifestyle Of unending greed Still six more sins I would carry on my back Before I Journey through the vast prairie Hoping to abandon the panopticon Lone But with faith ensconced in steel It is my duty to tear down false idols Hard As it may be the grim road Never hesitate to reject the forked tongue An ancient calling leads my heart Towards death soon approaching Leaving earth behind For seven sorrows Is my mother to suffer With truth revealed in sap of bleeding oak Archaic roots are emboldened And longing For the darkest night to fall And light to conquer Now like the sun Shines my sword Sharp as to cut Right from wrong
