I read a book of Renaissance history
It was a true story of vanity
I bought it from a man in the black hat at the yard sale
He said, "Son the heroes all gave in
And there's no point in naming since"
Then he gave me a stack of cash at the back of the Station Inn
Oh they say it takes all the pain away
From the dawn of time until the break of day
But it's funny how it never really works out that way

I spend as much time alone with angels as with common folk

To make what it takes to live
And there's a world of people who know what it means to really give
But these refined considerations aside
If you want to learn to be truly alive
Drink the Blood and let's start living for the other side
