From the day that we were born
We felt the love within your hearts;
You have led in godly ways
And helped to cleanse the inward parts;
You have taught us from God's word
And so we made Him Lord of all;
And now with very grateful hearts,
Sweet memories we recall:
O Mom and Dad, we love you!
We rise up and call you blessed.
You've taught us in the way to go
And we will not depart.
There's never been a day
When we wondered if you loved us;
It's been quite obvious to all
That you've loved us from the start.
Now the Lord has moved us on
And all the blessings we will share;
You have reared us on God's word
And you have bathed us all in prayer;
May our lives be shining lights
To this old world in darkness lost;
And we will serve the Lord our God
