But there is One

The secret inner workings of the heart
And of the soul.
There is a Friend who is closer than a brother,
There is a Friend unlike any other.
He knows what you're feeling
Before you ever speak a word.
There is a Friend who is greater than sorrow,
There is a friend who holds your tomorrow
No matter what comes
He will never leave you alone,
For you are His own.
What a friend we have in Jesus!
All our sins and griefs to bear;
What a privilege to carry
Everything to God in pray'r
