Once there was a bird who sang A melody so sweet For sorrow and for joy It echoed through the streets But then one day he tried But could not make a sound The voice the bird had lost Was nowhere to be found (Whistle) And yet the dog still had his bark The mouse still had his squeak It was only the poor bird Who couldn't even speak Could it be in the fields Or in the winds that blow He wondered to himself Where does a lost voice go (Whistle) And so his search went on and on Till he could fly no more He stopped upon on a branch He'd never been before And just as he believed His effort was in vain He cried and that was when His voice came back again (Whistle)
