There was one I thought would never be A friend or a brother to me Loggerheads We almost had a fight He got more gruff And I got more polite Rubbing shoulders Cooking every day I'd apologise for being in the way Tensions rose And tethers slowly frayed Didn't realise they were starting to braid We both Walked in To the waterfall Ice cold I slipped And began to fall I told him that I panic quite a lot When I'm not sure if someone's angry or not He said he was But that it was not with me Something that I always find it hard to believe Then I gave up Trying to make friends Didn't venture in so he didn't defend This felt right For me and true to him Space opened up; love started to swim We both Walked in To the waterfall Ice cold I slipped And began to fall But he Reached out And he steadied me We laughed Steadfast And boundlessly
